According to the Union Ministry of Health, the number of deaths due to Coronavirus increased to 166 on Thursday and 5,734 in the country on Thursday. While the number of active COVID-19 cases is 5,095, as 472 people were recovered and discharged and one survived.

There have been five deaths in West Bengal and Karnataka. Four deaths occurred in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh, while three deaths occurred in Haryana and Rajasthan.

The death toll on Wednesday evening was 149.

Cases have increased to 427 in Telangana, while Rajasthan has 381 cases.
Jammu and Kashmir has 158 cases, Haryana 147, West Bengal 103 and Punjab 101. There have been 42 coronavirus cases in Odisha. 33 are in Uttarakhand and 28 in Assam.

Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh have 18 cases each, while there are 14 positive patients in Ladakh so far.

Eleven cases have been reported from Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Goa has reported seven COVID-19 cases, followed by Puducherry at five.

Four cases have been reported in Jharkhand, while one case each has been registered in Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.

New Cases in Uttar Pradesh

Coronavirus continues to wreak havoc in Uttar Pradesh. Coronavirus cases are increasing daily. Coronavirus reports of 22 new patients were found positive on Thursday. These include 19 from Agra, 3 from Sitapur, 1 from Hardoi.


So far, 391 cases have been reported from 37 districts of the state, out of which 187 are related to Tablighi Jamaat. Agra has 22 locations with maximum leaks. Woman dies in Karnataka


An 80-year-old woman infected with the coronavirus in Gadag district of Karnataka died of a heart attack. He was having trouble breathing, after which the investigation confirmed that he was infected with the coronavirus. So far six people have died due to this dangerous virus in Karnataka.

 According to a senior district official, the patient was admitted to the hospital a few days ago with shortness of breath. On April 6, he was confirmed to be infected with COVID-19.

New cases in Gujarat


According to the Gujarat Health Department, 55 new cases of coronavirus positive have been registered in the state. Of which 50 cases have been reported in Ahmedabad, two in Surat and one each in Dahod, Anand and Chhota Udaipur. With this, the total number of corona infected in the state has increased to 241.

According to Madhya Pradesh Health Department, the total number of coronavirus positive patients in Bhopal is 93. Out of which 50 cases are from State Health Department, 20 cases are related to Tablighi Jamaat and 12 are related to Police Department. Two patients have been discharged after treatment and one has died.

According to the ministry data, there were eight deaths from Maharashtra, with Maharashtra having the highest number of confirmed cases in the country at 1,135.

Number of infected patients across the country

According to data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 540 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours and 17 people have died. With this, the total number of coronavirus positive cases across the country has reached 5734. Of these, 5095 are active, 473 have become healthy and 166 have died.
